Karen enjoys a solo practice in Seattle, Washington. Her practice emphasizes adoption, family law, guardianship, guardian ad litem work, estate planning and probate matters.  Karen is the former co-Chair of the King County Collaborative Law Family Law Group (FLPG). 

 

Karen obtained her law degree from the University of Washington.  During law school, Karen externed for Judge Karen Overstreet in Federal Bankruptcy Court.  Prior to law, Karen was a high-tech project manager and corporate trainer for companies such as GE and AT&T.  International highlights include working with EDS in London, teaching English as a Second Language in Japan, and volunteering in Holt’s orphanages in South Korea.  Karen enjoys urban farming, videography, and the ukulele.

 
Giving Back to the Community 

Karen has volunteered for the King County Bar Association Greenwood Family Law Clinic, the Kinship Cares Solutions Project (nonparental custody), restoring social security benefits for persons with AIDS, the King County Dispute Resolution Center and King County District Court Small Claims Court mediator.
